Happy Halloween
Phoebe is getting over her first cold. The first of many to come, I'm sure. That's one of the perks of living with teachers who encounter lots and lots of germs everyday! I thought it was pretty much gone, but she seems to be coughing more today and sounding a little phlegmy. Hopefully it won't last much longer. She went to the Dr. on Thursday just to make sure it was nothing more than a cold (which it wasn't) and she weighed in at 11 lbs exactly. She is beginning to wear her 3-6 month clothes and has grown out of some of her 0-3 month outfits. What a big girl! She is making lots of sounds these days goos, coos, oohs, and oh's. It's fun to listen to her. I know I usually only talk about Phoebe, but we are doing well as a family as well. Brett is enjoying his job at Argo--it is a lot of work and he is super-busy creating new lessons and adjusting to the new environment, but all is going well for him. He was sadly missing out on some precious Phoebe time in the beginning, but things are becoming more balanced for him and he is getting to spend much more time with her. She loves sitting on his lap while he works. He makes fun faces at her and makes her smile a lot, and she is a good excuse for him to take a break. We went on our first big outing (to see a play) without Phoebe as she stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Shobe. Apparently she did very well--even went to bed without crying which she never does for me! So we are slowly figuring out how to live life as a family. It is a fun experience so far.

Three months
Phoebe passed the three month mark on October 13. She is doing great. I need to get the most recent photos up of the last play group here at our house and of her doing her latest trick--holding her head up. She is about 22.5 or 23 inches long by my measurement, of which I can't guarantee the accuracy and perhaps around 11 pounds. I need a digital scale! Nonetheless, she is healthy and growing. I have some new pictures on here that I snapped while trying to catch her smiling--which she does all the time when I don't have a camera. I did get her once--as you will see. So here are the many faces of Phoebe . . .
