Visiting Friends
We went to visit some friends a while back and are finally posting the pictures. Our coworkers at Lake Central will recognize Rich and Kathy Lawson. The pictures are a little deceiving--Phoebe looks content in all of them, but really she was pretty crabby that night and Kathy took on the task of comforting and calming Phoebe. She's a practiced mom, so she did a great job soothing Phoebe and giving me a break. It was great to see the Lawsons. Brett misses his lunch time conversations with Rich and was excited to do some catching up. We have also seen Penny Tokoly who visited us in early August along with Jen and Matt Kwiatkowski. For some reason we didn't think to take the camera out that day--I guess we were just too busy talking and enjoying the visit. We even took a brief trip to the school just before the start of the year and saw a few teachers and many staff members. We'll have to get back up there to see the rest of our coworkers soon--before it gets too cold and all the illnesses start to set in.

Play Group
Phoebe went to her first play group today. It was great. There were six other babies there and all were in a similar age group between two months and five months. Phoebe was very alert and happy the whole time. She stayed awake for around six hours consecutively today--which is her longest period of being awake since she was born. She was exhausted this evening. She went to sleep at around 5:30 and is still not awake at 8:00. I think I will get her up to feed her soon just to be sure that she sleeps well through the night. I am including pictures of her new friends. (And her new super-cute outfit--she got lots of clothes from Sydney :))
Yesterday was her two month birthday. The doctor was very pleased with her development. She is now 9lbs. 8 oz. (double her birth weight!) and 21.5 inches long--a five inch growth in length. She is the size of a normal baby now. She also got several of her immunizations yesterday, which she didn't like, but she did well with overall. She got three shots--she screamed through them and I cried, but we made it. Then she was crabby and tired for a good six hours afterwards. She slept in my arms most of the afternoon because any time I attempted to set her down she would cry. As long as I was holding her, she was ok and then later in the evening she felt better and we went for a walk to the library. And obviously she felt much better today since she was able to stay awake and enjoy herself for so long. So things are going well for her and for us.

Cousin Sydney's visit
Phoebe just got done with an exciting week long visit from her Aunt Terra, Uncle Jason, and Cousin Sydney. It was a whirlwind of excitement. She had her first visit downtown and she went to her first restaurant--The Koppermill. Grandma Shobe took a lot of pictures, the ones here are just a few that I took. I will add more when I get them from Grandma. Tomorrow is Phoebe's two month birthday and it is also her two month check up. She will get her immunizations tomorrow. We'll update on her weight and height after tomorrow's appointment.
