Santa Claus is coming to town

Phoebe had her first visit with Santa today. Evergreen Park High School hosts a Santa breakfast for all employees and their kids and grandkids--It was nice. She enjoyed her time, but she was sleepy. I will have more pictures when I get them from Grandma. More later. We also have a play group today with the daddies--so they will all meet the babies and the moms.

Why'd we name her Phoebe?

Why'd we name him Beckett

I saw the name in a name book and called Brett to add it to the list. It grew on us and we liked it very much. We thought of associations we might have with the name, and all of them are positive. There is Samuel Beckett the playwright who writes about existential themes and ideas--something I really liked in college. And there is Beck Hansen, the talented and artistic musician who Brett and I like very much. Other than that, there is no meaning attached to his name, but it is a nice, strong sounding name and his initials are the same as his Daddy's (BRL).
